Dr. Ooi Theng Choon is a bioinformatician at Premier Integrated Labs Sdn. Bhd., a leading clinical diagnostics provider in Malaysia. He specializes in big data analysis of clinical laboratory results, focusing on uncovering meaningful patterns to support early disease detection, monitor public health risks and trends, and improve diagnostic accuracy. By combining data science, bioinformatics, and healthcare analytics, he helps translate complex clinical data into actionable insights for medical professionals and health system decision-making.

Dr. Ooi earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), with a research focus on nutritional genomics, molecular biology, and cellular protection mechanisms. During his postdoctoral research at UKM, he was involved in numerous human health studies, particularly in the areas of aging, cognitive health, and nutrition-based interventions, focusing on biomarker discovery and intervention efficacy in aging populations.
