Salina is the Head of Profession for Forensic Science Officer, Ministry of Health Malaysia. She received her doctorate in Forensic Anthropology from the University of Western Australia. Other than technical laboratory work, she has vast experiences in exhumation, crime scene investigation, and disaster victim identification. Highlight of her career was taking part in Op Gangga – an excavation of crews of United States Army Forces in Beruas, Perak. Salina has been a Visiting Scientist at the New York Office of Chief Medical Examiner. She is also a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, International Association of Craniofacial Identification and Malaysian Association of Forensic Anthropology.
