Dr. Chin Loi Khim is a leading figure in Genetic Pathology, holding significant national roles. She obtained her Masters of Pathology (Hematology) from University Malaya in 2007 and pursued specialised training with a Fellowship in Hemato-Oncology Cytogenetics at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Australia (2011) and further expertise in prenatal molecular testing of thalassemia at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney (2016). Her current leadership positions include National Head of Genetic Pathology for the Ministry of Health Malaysia and head of the Genetics Laboratory at Tunku Azizah Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Demonstrating her commitment to the field’s development, Dr. Chin also chairs the Specialty Subcommittee for Genetic Pathology on the Malaysian Medical Council’s Medical Education Committee and serves as the Vice President of the Chapter of Genetic Pathology, College of Pathologists – Academy of Medicine, Malaysia.
