About Speaker

Dr Amir is a Consultant Clinical Immunologist, Allergist and Paediatrician at the Allergy & Immunology Centre, Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and Adjunct Professor at the Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Sunway University Malaysia. He is the President of the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI), and Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.  He currently serves as Associate Editor of Asia Pacific Allergy (AP Allergy) and Review Editor of Frontiers in Allergy (Food Allergy). Dr Amir has over 120 publications in both international and national journals, with special interests in chronic urticaria, inborn errors of immunity (IEI) and planetary health. His special interest in planetary health revolves around the health impacts of climate change, air pollution and loss of biodiversity, particularly in children, and working to establish health co-benefits in addressing these environmental concerns.
