Dr Zanariah binti Alias graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in1991. She subsequently obtained her Master Degree in Pathology (Anatomic Pathology) from same university in 1999. She has special interest in Cytopathology.

She is currently Head of Anatomic Pathology Discipline and Head of Pathology Department HKL. She is the SME for Laboratory information system for KKM and recently elected as chairperson for Digital Pathology Implementation Committee, National Pathology Service.

Dr Zanariah also involved in development and training for all category of staff in pathology service. She is one of the committee members for the new curriculum for Master in Pathology (Anatomic Pathology) program Malaysia and Advance Diploma in Cytology organised by ILKKM. For quality activity , she is the committee member for technical working group for STR 2.2- Specific Technical Requirements for Accreditation of Anatomic Pathology (Histopathology) Laboratories MS ISO 15189 and Technical working group for National Clinical Audit: Lymphoma.
