About Speaker
Nur Aliaa Binti Md Ariff is a Speech-Language Therapist currently working at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Speech Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2014. Since then, she has gained experience working with both adults and children, with a special interest in helping older adults, especially in the areas of swallowing and communication difficulties. She is also certified by the International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
Her work focuses on supporting elderly patients with conditions such as dementia, stroke, and sarcopenia. She is actively involved in developing and improving services for older adults in Malaysia. Aliaa has contributed to several national workshops and training modules related to dysphagia care, dementia communication, and elderly mealtime assistance. She also serves as a committee member in various Ministry of Health initiatives and professional groups related to geriatric care.
She hopes to continue learning and contributing to the well-being of elderly patients through speech therapy and rehabilitation. She is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients and their families.
